Cons of an E60 BMW M5

Expect failures, luckily, when I bought it, all its issues were sorted. The infotainment system is hard to use, though, even for a techie. - 5.0
Baddest 4dr on road

Drive one in M end of story. Rest will speak for itself its a never sell. Reliability depends on your maintenance schedule factory gives you the bare minimum. Truly a masterpiece with exceptional price that I’m sure will change with time and it will cost you more than MSRP one day. - 4.0
Super sedan with not so super reliability

Let me start off by saying you get what you pay for when buying this car. The original MSRP for a E60 M5 was somewhere in the ballpark of $80-100k. Today you can pick one up for $15k, maybe even less. The reasoning behind this drastic depreciation is because of one thing, or rather hundreds of things that could go wrong with this car. Rod bearings, vanos pump, gearbox failure, and even the engine just exploding out of no where. This car is known to have extraordinary issues with reliability, but it’s worth it. The E60 M5 is a supercar in sedan form. Whether it be the screaming V10, or the 507 horsepower, or even the torque which is surprisingly head jerking. There will never be another sedan quite like this one, and I’d definitely recommend buying one before they inevitably appreciate as most “M” cars do.
