BMW 8 Series Interior Seating

In the Gran Coupe model, the 8 Series seats five people. The coupe and convertible models have seating for four people. Both the front and rear seats have a bounty of head and legroom. Vernasca leather upholstery, heated front sport seats, power soft-closing doors, a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, and power-adjustable seating are all standard.

Optional interior features include:

• Heated rear seats

M front sport seats are available for a more sport-tuned feel. Plus, a rear power sunshade, rear-window sunshades, a neck warmer, and an Alcantara headliner are also available. Two complete sets of LATCH connectors with a middle tether anchor are included for installing child safety seats.

BMW 8 Series Cargo Capacity

The Gran Coupe has 15.5 cubic feet of trunk space for stowing luggage, golf clubs, and shopping bags. The trunk opening is wide and low, making loading and unloading easy. The rear seats fold completely flat for hauling large or long cargo.

The coupe model provides 10 cubic feet of space, while the convertible offers 12.4 cubic feet of space. Like the Gran Coupe model, both the coupe and convertible have convenient trunk openings for easy cargo loading.

BMW 8 Series Technology Features

The 8 Series arrives with an array of technology features, including the iDrive infotainment system. The highly intuitive system has a combination of touch inputs or rotary knobs positioned on the center console. Physical knobs and buttons are also used for some functions. The 8 Series also comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, satellite radio, HD Radio™, wireless device charging, and a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot.

Additional technology options include:

• Glass console controls
• Two USB ports for the rear seats

For safety, the 8 Series comes with a head-up display, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and automatic emergency braking, a feature that applies the brakes automatically when it detects a potential collision. Forward-collision warning, a feature that alerts you to possible frontal collisions, is also included. Front and rear parking sensors, automatic parking assist, and adaptive cruise control, which adjust your cruising speed to stay with the flow of traffic, are available.
